What exciting things will you be bringing to the Local Treasures one day market February 25?
I will be bringing a few of my "I'm 3" bows, along with some new springtime bows. If you are looking for that special bow, please stop by. If I don't happen to have what you are looking for on hand, I am happy to take special orders.

What inspires you to make what you make?
Well that would be my daughter Holly. Holly just turned 3 and has become an inspiration to all who meet her or hears her story. Holly was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type I (SMA) when she was only 8 months old. After finding out Holly had SMA type I, we almost lost her due to respiratory failure. We also learned that most SMA type I children don't live to see their second birthday. We are happy to report that Holly is beating those odds and is doing great!

I began making bows as a way to spread the awareness of SMA. I was looking for a way to honor Holly and the children who have battled or are battling SMA. I knew that I wanted it to be something that was fun, allowed me to meet new people and use my creative talents. I began toying with the idea of making hair bows and now it has become a favorite pastime.

What is your most treasured art, craft, or design tool and why?
My most treasured craft tool for making hair bows would have to be a large hair clip, which helps to hold the ribbon in place while I manipulate it. The clip gives me that "extra" hand that we are all always looking for!

Spring is such a beautiful season in the south. What do you look forward to each spring?
I have always lived in the South and spring has always been one of my most favorite seasons. I look forward to spring each year because I can finally put away all my family's drab winter clothing and pull out our bright and cheerful spring/summer wear. And, what would spring be without baseball? I can usually be found at the ball field, cheering on my son and his teammates.

Tennis shoes, sandals, flip flips or barefoot?
I am a flip flop girl! I love having the cool breeze on my feet and the feeling of freedom I have when I'm wearing them.

Can we find you on the internet? Provide the links if so!
