Artist Spotlight: Shelia B Creations

What exciting things will you be bringing to the Local Treasures one day market February 25?
I will have Italian Yarn Jewelry. This jewelry is very unique as it is crocheted with a lightweight almost lace type of yarn. I also crochet Bobble Rings and scarfs that can add a bit of a bling to your style.
What inspires you to make what you make?
My aunt taught me to crochet 25 years ago and I haven't stopped since. I find inspiration in the wonderfully unique yarns that keep coming. There is always a new color or new texture to create with. I take great pride in my work as I started out making these items for friends and family.
What is your most treasured art, craft, or design tool and why?
I treasure my crochet hooks big and small because I use them to make all of my products.
Spring is such a beautiful season in the south. What do you look forward to each spring?
Born and raised in Louisiana, I enjoy seeing the flowers blooming, especially azaleas, magnolias, and gardenias.
Tennis shoes, sandals, flip flips or barefoot?
I am totally a barefoot girl!
